The government says a community group in North Clare will have to purchase two vacant buildings in their village.

The buildings in question are almost 100 years old and are located adjacent to the local Community Hall, which was recently re-opened following a local fundraising campaign.
The Seanad has now heard that locals are interested in taking over two more unoccupied buildings, which are owned by the OPW, and putting them to use in the community.
Junior Minister Tom Hayes has confirmed they're no longer of use to the state, but says they won't be handed over for free.
