Government Minister Confirms Files Exist On ‘Jihadis’ In Ireland

A government minister's confirmed today that files exist on suspected 'jihadis' in Ireland.

Charlie Flanagan said he keeps in close contact with the Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald on the issue.

It comes a day after he attended a meeting of his Foreign Minister counterparts from across the EU, where terror related developments like the Tunisia beach attack were discussed.

Minister Flanagan says it's important to monitor the situation, even though Ireland is very low in terms of threat level.
