The government may be forced to row back on the introduction of changes to tax relief on health insurance.

On Tuesday the Minister for Finance Michael Noonan announced that a cap would be introduced on premiums for health insurance in Budget 2014.
It’s estimated that nearly 1.4 million people could be hit with a one hundred euro increase in their health insurance plans which may force the majority of customers to drop their cover.
