Government May Reconsider Tax Relief On Health Insurance.

The government may be forced to row back on the introduction of changes to tax relief on health insurance.

On Tuesday the Minister for Finance Michael Noonan announced that a cap would be introduced on premiums for health insurance in Budget 2014.

It’s estimated that nearly 1.4 million people could be hit with a one hundred euro increase in their health insurance plans which may force the majority of customers to drop their cover.

Dermot Good of health-insurance-savings.ie says the Minister wasn’t being truthful when he said it would only be gold plated policy holders that will be affected:
