Government May Have To Re-consider Plans For USC Cut

The Government may have to reconsider its plans to cut the Universal Social Charge.

For the first time potential measures for Budget 2017 have been published  – they give a number of options which would lead to the phasing out of the controversial USC. 

However the Department of Finance is warning that if the USC is cut or scrapped entirely –  it'll leave less room for manoeuvre for other tax cuts  – promised under the programme for Government.
