The State's economic watchdog has warned the Government that it's running the risk of repeating the 'mistakes of the past'.

The Irish Fiscal Advisory Council says that while the recovery is gathering momentum – the coalition's deficit reduction target is not in line with the EU Stability pact or the Budgetary Rule.
It says it has significant concerns about the plan to cut the deficit by 0.3% next year – instead of 0.6%.
