Clare County Council has been given the go ahead on an almost two million euro loan for the upgrade of the Market in Ennis.

Work is expected to begin towards the end of 2015 with the project going to tender in the coming weeks.
Once completed it will house a new shopping area that can also be used as a car park on non shopping days and improvements to street lighting and the roads in the area.
Director of Services Gerard Dollard says its a positive project.
