A West Clare councillor is hitting out at the government for leaving people in the dark for almost a year about the future of the Post Office network.
A Private Members Bill passed through the Dáil in November last year which acknowledged the importance of the network and called for action to save it.

However, concern is still being raised that rural branches will be forced to close down until something drastic is done.
Cooraclare Fianna Fáil Councillor Bill Chambers is unhappy with the wait.
