The Government is being called on to increase investment in Clare's rural roads network.

It follows a new report which found that nearly a quarter of the county's tertiary roads have "severe" structural defects, while a further 15 per cent have other defects.
The figures contained in the report by the National Oversight and Audit Commission, which reviewed local authorities in 2014, mark the highest percentage of any county in Ireland.
