Funding to provide social housing for Clare residents with special needs has been announced by the government.
The Housing Minister Jan O’Sullivan has allocated 2.85 million euro to County Clare for the provision of 22 units throughout the county between now and 2014.
Five units will be provided in Newmarket on Fergus, 3 in Ennis, and there’s funding for a further four units in various parts of Clare along with the construction of 10 new homes in Clonlara to accomodate the elderly, homeless and people with special needs.
