The government has been accused of failing to champion the Post Office network.

Clare Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley has criticised Social Protection Minister Leo Varadkar for issuing a circular to his Department's staff, asking them to 'facilitate' people who want to receive social welfare payments at their local post office.
The Mountshannon TD thinks this should instead be actively encouraged.
He says failure to promote post offices could put their future in doubt.
