Prayers and good wishes have been offered for retired Bishop Willie Walsh who was rushed to hospital after becoming seriously ill last week.

The former Bishop of Killaloe underwent emergency surgery on Thursday night, but is said to be recovering well.
He was remembered at masses throughout County Clare and the diocese over the weekend.
78 year Dr. Willie Walsh retired as Bishop in 2010, but still actively assists his fellow in a number of Clare Communities, and in the town of Ennis where he resides.
