Gilmore Stands Firm On Shannon Stop-Over Policy

The Tanaiste has stated there’ll be no change in the policy of allowing US troops to land at Shannon Airport, despite the controversy over their behaviour in distrurbing images which emerged last week.

Eamon Gilmore was reacting to pictures of US soldiers urinating on the bodies of dead Taliban soldiers in Afgahnistan which he described as deeply upsetting and shameful.
