Geraldine Finucane Fails In Challenge To Open Inquiry

The widow of Pat Finucane says she’s disappointed after losing her challenge against the Government’s refusal to hold a public inquiry into his murder.

The solicitor was murdered by loyalists in 1989.

Geraldine Finucane had appealed against a 2015 judicial ruling that the decision taken by then Prime Minister David Cameron in 2011, was lawful.

Today her son Michael said the family may yet end up at the Supreme court.
