George H W Bush Remembered As ‘Friend Of Shannon Airport’

Former US President George H W Bush is being remembered as a ‘genuine, interesting, kind’ man, who was a friend of Shannon Airport.

Funeral services are getting underway today for the late president today in Washington DC, following his death at the age of 94 on Friday last.

He was a regularly visitor to Shannon Airport, where he ended up on first name terms with many of the staff and even developed friendships here in Clare.
