Some of Clare sporting facilities will be on show this week, as hopes that the MidWest region can stage a major sporting event which would attract 25,000 visitors and spectators.

Along with London and Paris, Limerick is in the running to host the 2018 Gay Games and this week, their bid will be scrutinised by the Federation of Gay Games Site Selection Committee.
if successful, events would be staged at facilities including the UL Activity Centre in Killaloe and in O’Briensbridge.
