Gardaí are warning the public that tickets will be issued if they park illegally in Thurles for the Munster Hurling Final between Clare and Limerick.

A number of alternative traffic routes have been put in place to try and avoid traffic congestion with Clare supporters travelling via Limerick asked to go through Cashel via either the M8 or the old N8 road or to travel through Dundrum and Holycross to get to Thurles.

Fans from Ennis or Killaloe are urged to go via Newport, Nenagh or Roscrea.
