Gardaí say motorists in Killaloe/Ballina are facing tailbacks as a result of ongoing works.
Pipe is being laid on the Ballina side of the river, leading to traffic areas.
The works are due to continue for the next fortnight, and Gardaí are urging anyone traveling through the area to come via O’Brien’s Bridge, where possible.

Meanwhile, motorists around Ennis are being warned of traffic delays in the county town this week.
Clare County Council is installing traffic loops at six locations in the town – at Captain Mac’s Junction, Club Bridge, Woodquay, Darcy’s Corner, the Clare Road Junction and at Maddens Furniture.
