Gardaí are urging Clare communities to remain vigilant and to report any cars parked up for extended periods in their area, or offered for sale.
It follows the theft of six cars from a car dealership in Darragh, on the outskirts of Ennis, at around 1.30 in the early hours of last Friday morning.
Three of the cars have been recovered by Gardaí at various locations in Clare, however they’re continuing to search for a 151 light Blue Volkswagon Golf, a 2018 White Toyota CHR and a 2014 White Volkswagon Golf.
Any road users travelling on the N68 main Ennis to Kilrush road between 1am and 5am last Friday morning, who may have dash cam footage, is asked to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 68 48 100.
Sergeant Edel Burke has been telling Clare FM that “these cars could be offered for sale over the next few weeks, so if you are offered these cars for sale, please contact your local Garda Station or Ennis Gardaí.
“They could also be parked up in your local car park, housing estate or shopping centre, so we’re asking listeners to be vigilant and to report any sighting of any vehicle matching those to your local garda station or the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111,” Sergeant Burke concluded.
