Gardaí are urging people not to walk home after the pub tonight if they’ve had one too many.
Pedestrians are among the most vulnerable road users, with statistics showing that a third of all pedestrians killed on the roads had consumed alcohol.

So far this year, 87 people in total have died on the roads, while over 5,000 drove while intoxicated.
