Cyclists and pedestrians in Clare are being urged to ensure that they can be seen, when out and about this winter.

Last year, 5 cyclists and 31 pedestrians lost their lives on Irish roads, while 17 of these vulnerable road users have been killed so far in 2014.
This evening, people are being invited to the Clare Sports Partnership Office at the Westgate Business Park on the Kilrush Road, where the Road Safety Authority will be on hand with advice and useful items.
The event begins at 5 o'clock, and Sgt John Maloney of Ennis Garda Station says they're looking to educate people on their own safety
