A fuel plant with the capacity to launder 5 million euro worth of oil a year has been found by Gardaí in Co Cavan.

Gardaí and Customs officers uncovered the plant in a yard behind a private house in Whitegate in Virginia in County Cavan.
Its estimated the facility had the capacity to launder about ten million litres of fuel a year.
One man was arrested and later released.
Gardaí also seized two vans, bleaching earth, a compressor and a large quantity of laundered fuel.
