Gardaí in Tuam have appealed for Clare residents who have had items stolen from them in recent days to contact them.
At around 3:45 yesterday afternoon, Gardaí from Tuam, on active patrol as part of Operation Thor, intercepted a car on the N17 at Farranamartin near Tuam.
During a search of the vehicle property, drugs and cash was recovered.
Two men in their 20s and 40s were arrested at the scene and are being detained at Tuam Garda Station.
Gardaí say the items recovered are the proceeds of criminal activity in Clare, Galway and Mayo in recent days.
They include a camera, fishing rods & equipment, phones and tobacco.
An sum of money and a quantity of cannabis herb was also seized.
