A garda investigation’s ongoing into an incident in Clarecastle whereby a young child was approached by the driver of a blue van last Monday – the 29th of July.
The driver offered the 11 year old sweets but didn’t attempt to get him into the vehicle – and subsequently drove off- possibly in direction of Kildysart.

Officers are looking through local CCTV and are expected to speak to the young boy further – but the man is believed to be in his 70’s and the van is described as dark blue and small sized similar to a Citroen.
