Gardaí are searching for the driver of a jeep following a hit and run incident in Ennis.
A person crossing the road at the junction of Carmody Street and the Kilrush Road on Friday evening at around 5.15, was injured after collided with a trailer being drawn by the vehicle.
The Jeep was an Isuzu Trooper, which was travelling in the direction of the Mill Road.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Joe Downey says the driver may not have known that they hit the pedestrian.
