Investigating officers have renewed their appeal for anyone with information on the crime, which occurred when a group of raiders gained entry to the premises on Bridge Street in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.

The raiders severed communication lines on the outside, and cut through its security bars, but fled the scene empty handed when the alarm went off – Gardaí suspect that the group were attempting to gain access to the bank’s ATM.

Clare’s crime prevention officer Sergeant Joe Downey is asking anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact them
