A Shannon Councillor has moved to reassure people that Gardaí in the town are being proactive in tackling anti-social behaviour in the town.
It’s after an alleged firearms incident earlier this week which occured in a residential area, close to Illaunumanagh Graveyard, part of which had to be sealed off to facilitate a forensic examination.

Callers to Clare FM have also highlighted their concern over a rise in anti-social behaviour in recent weeks.
Sinn Féin Councillor Donna McGettigan says while people are very concerned, she’s confident every effort is being made to keep the community safe.
