Clare Gardaí are urging all road users to be alert, vigilant and pro-active to help prevent fatalities on the county’s roads this year.

Figures for 2012 show there were two fatalities on Clare’s Roads – both in the Ennis District, while a further 13 people were seriously injured in nine other collisions in the Ennis, Kilrush and Ennistymon areas.
However the figures are a huge drop on five years ago – when there were 11 people were killed fatal crashes across the county and a further 26 were injured.
