Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information on a serious road traffic crash in Clare in the early hours of last Sunday morning.
It’s understood a car travelling from Kilrush to Ennis collided head on with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The collision happened shortly before 1am, at Edenvale, on the outskirts of Ennis.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks says “one of the drivers had to be cut from his car and both drivers were taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this accident or anyone who may have dash cam footage to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100”.
