Gardai are investigating what’s being described as a ‘traumatic’ burglary and assault in East Clare.
Four men broke into a shop in Whitegate in the early hours of last Friday morning and the owner of the business is subsequently believed to have received minor injuries.
The men made their getaway in the owner’s car which was later recovered in the village.
