Gardaí Investigating Shannon Incident Which Left Man Requiring Hospitalisation

Gardaí in Shannon are investigating an incident of assault which left a man requiring hospitalisation.

The incident occurred late on Tuesday night in the Ballycasey Close area of the town.

A man in his 20s was injured in the incident and was transported to hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí and National Ambulance Service paramedics responded to the incident at around 11.15pm.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the incident.

A spokesperson confirmed “Gardaí received a report of an incident of assault that occurred in the Ballycasey Close area of Shannon, Co. Clare on Tuesday 12th August 2025 at approximately 11:15pm”.

“A male in his 20s was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening at this time”.
