A 27 year old man has been shot dead in Dublin.
At around 10.30am this morning, the victim was walking along a green area near the Luas Line in Inchicore when he was approached by a lone gunman.

He suffered at least one gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene.
The Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan says the investigation is at a very early stage and all necessary resources will be provided to assist the Gardai
