Gardai Investigate Limerick Hatchet Attack

A Garda investigation is underway into a hatchet attack in Limerick.

It’s understood a man received serious head wounds after being struck by a hatchet around 6 o’clock yesterday evening in the village of Kilteely, near Dromkeen.

A man in his fifties was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he’s being treated for non life threatening injuries to his head.

A number of people left the scene in a car which was later found crashed in Nicker Village. Gardaí in Bruff are investigating.
