Gardai are investigating, after a man in his 50s was killed in a stabbing incident in Cork city.
A row broke out inside a pub on Lower Friar’s Walk in Ballyphehane sometime after midnight.
It continued onto the street outside, where the 51 year old victim received serious injuries.
He was rushed to Cork University Hospital by car, but was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.
Two other people – an 18 year old man and a woman in her twenties – were also hurt during the incident, and were taken to hospital – but their injuries were not life threatening.
Two men were arrested for public order offences – but have since been released without charge.
