Galway Gardaí are expected to launch a murder inquiry later today into the death of a part time publican at his premises in Oughterard.

The body of John Kenny- who was also a full time teacher in Athenry – was discovered by family members at the pub on the village’s main street shortly before six.
Its understood the father of one was found with his hands tied near the bathrooms.
The area remains sealed off for a technical examination and a post-mortem to determine the cause of death is set to be carried out today.
