Parents in Labasheeda and in Newmarket on Fergus are on alert after incidents in which children who were outside their homes were approached by strangers.

In Newmarket on Fergus, an eight year old boy was approached by a man who had been in a car that was seen hanging around in the area shortly before then, and then sped off.
While in Labasheeda, one mother has spoken of how she found her two-and-a-half year old son talking with a stranger.
It's unclear whether the incidents are linked in any way, and Gardaí are investigating.
