Gardaí are out in force today in Clare as part of a high visibility day of action.
Extra checkpoints have been put in place across the county, while officers will be focusing on gathering intelligence, executing warrants and carrying out random firearm checks of licenced holders.
They’re urging people to “Lock Up and Light Up”, not to store large sums of money and to secure away valuable items of jewellry.
