Gardaí And Clare County Council Hold Free Property Marking Clinic In Ennis

Gardaí and Clare County Council are holding a free property marking clinic in Ennis today.

The Clare County Property Marking Scheme is part of a nationwide programme aimed at combatting property theft and assisting in the identification and return of stolen property.

The clinic will be hosted by members of the Ennis Community Policing Unit and local authority officials at Ballyea GAA pitch today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks says property that ‘s marked is less likely to be targeted and less desired by thieves.

“Bring your property, eircode and identification. Garda Brendan Condon, PSV officer will also be in attendance to give farm machinery advice on trailer and towing safety, driver licencing and agricultural machinery on the roads”, said Sergeant Brooks
