Gardaí in Gort investigating the weekend’s fatal hit and run in Ardrahan believe the driver concerned may not realise they were involved in a collision.
66 year old Gerry Keane died in hospital on Saturday after being struck by a car in the village on Friday evening.

Gardaí are seeking information on a dark coloured hatchback they believe was involved and say it was the last car to go through the rail barriers on the Galway side of Ardrahan before they closed to allow a train to pass.
