Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash in county Meath overnight.
A woman in her 20's lost her life in the incident while four others were hospitalised.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a two car collision at Waterside Great, Duleek on the N2 at about twenty past ten last night.
Five people had been injured in the incident – one of them a woman in her 20's fatally – she'd been in the back seat of one of the cars.
Gardaí say two men and two women were take to Blanchardstown and Drogheda hospitals with non life threatening injuries.
The Dublin Slane road between Rathfeigh Cross and Balrath Cross remains closed this morning.
A forensic examination of the scene is underway.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them at Slane station or any Garda station.
