Clare farmers are being warned to take all necessary precautions when burning scrub and gorse, in order to ensure that problems encountered in recent years are not repeated.
Representatives of Clare IFA have met with officials from Coillte, Teagasc and Clare Gardaí and in order to impress upon people the dangers of uncontrolled fires on farmland.

Wildfires have caused problems for the Clare fire service in each of the past two years, and Clare IFA Chairman Andrew Dundass says farmers need to be considerate and to take precautions.
