Gardaí in Clare are advising motorists to take extra care on the county’s roads this afternoon.
It’s after freezing overnight temperatures have led to icy stretches, particularly on roads which have not been treated.

There are reports of issues on several routes in the county, including the Lahinch to Doolin road near the Cliffs of Moher, and more rural areas of the county.
It’s expected temperatures will dip below freezing again this evening and tonight.
