Garda Investigations Underway In Clare Following Spate Of Burglaries

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a spate of burglaries across Clare.

Four homes in Sycamore Close – Sixmilebridge, Greendale – Ennis, Ballinruane – Crusheen and the Kells are of Corofin were targetted by thieves between Thursday and Saturday last.

In a number of cases, significant damage was done to the premises to facilitate entry, with a number of items taken including a red petrol power generator and a grey ceiling slab lifter.

Sixmilebridge

This incident occurred on Thursday between 8.30am and 6.30pm in the Sycamore Close estate in Sixmilebridge. The offender gained access through a rear patio door.

Significant damage was done to gain entry and residents or visitors to the estate may have heard something. Anyone who may have information regarding this burglary, please contact Sixmilebridge Garda Station on 061 369133.

Ennis

Ennis Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Greendale estate on Clon Road on Thursday between midday and 1pm.

The offender damaged the property to gain entry and we are appealing to anyone that may have been walking on Clon Road at this time to contact us if they saw anything please contact Ennis Garda Station.

Crusheen

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating an attempted burglary in the Ahish area of Ballinruan last Saturday, 24th February between 10.30am and 4pm.

Corofin

Corofin Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Kells area of Corofin between 4pm on Saturday evening and 9.30am the next morning. The offender entered the premises through the front door and took a red petrol power generator and a grey ceiling slab lifter.
