A Garda investigation is underway following an assault in Ennis over the weekend.
A man in his 20’s sustained minor injuries in the incident, which happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The alarm was raised shortly after 2 o’clock on Sunday morning, after a man in his twenties was approached by a man, who wasn’t known to him.
The man punched him and fled the scene on foot.
The injured party was hurt and disorientated and later required medical attention for minor injuries.
The incident happened outside the pharmacy on Abbey Street in the town.
Ennis Gardaí are appealing to anyone in the town on Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning who witnessed this assault to contact them on 065 68 48 100.
