A Garda investigation has been launched following a shooting incident in West Clare overnight.
Witnesses are being sought following the incident of criminal damage and a separate public order incident which occurred in Kilrush hours earlier.
Gardaí were alerted to an incident of criminal damage by fire, as well as the discharge of a firearm at a domestic residence in Kilrush at approximately 20 past 1 this morning.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident and a techinical examination of the scene has concluded this afternoon.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward and particularly any road users who may have camera or dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area of Cooraclare Road or wider Kilrush town.
Separately, Gardai are also investigating a Public Order Incident which occurred on Henry Street at 12.20pm yesterday afternoon, which resulted in a man in his 20s receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Any road users who may have footage and were travelling in the area of Henry Street, Vandeleur Street or Kilkee Road Roundabout at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
