The Garda Commissioner has estimated the cost of security for Donald Trump’s visit to Clare last month at around €30 million.
The US President visited Taoiseach Micheál Martin and President Catherine Connolly in Dublin in September, before travelling to Doonbeg for the final round of the Irish Open.

Speaking before the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee, Commissioner Justin Kelly said the operation will be funded entirely by the State.
He said, however, that the final figure has yet to be confirmed.
