The head of An Garda Siochana says he’ll consider disciplinary action against an internal whistleblower sharing confidential Garda records.

Martin Callinan says it’s impossible for a Garda to determine whether penalty points have been validly quashed without access to local records.
One whistleblower, a current Garda sergeant, is taking legal advice on whether to attend the Public Accounts Committee to take questions about alleged corruption.
Mr Callinan says he doesn’t think an active Garda should be giving evidence to TDs.
