Senior Gardaí will outline how prepared the force is to deal with a major incident today.
The Garda Commissioner Noirin O’Sullivan is due to appear before the Policing Authority this afternoon.
It follows recent terrorist attacks including Manchester and London and the revelations that one of the London bridge attackers had spent time living in Dublin.
