Garda Bank Holiday Warning.

Gardaí say they’ll be doing all in their power to prevent a repeat of the death toll on the country’s roads over the last May Bank Holiday.

Four people lost their lives and nine others were seriously injured in crashes during the long weekend in 2011.

So far this year 58 people , including 2 in Clare have died in road collisions and while its seven fewer than last year, Gardaí are warning people not to get complacent.
