Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a young man in Ennis.
Shortly before 3am on Thursday, December 22nd, a man in his 20s who was with a group of his friends on Abbey Street, was approached and punched in the head by another man.

This resulted in him falling to the ground and becoming unconscious.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks says “a number of witnesses have come forward and we would like to thank them but the street was very busy at this time.
“We are appealing to anyone else who may have witnessed this assault or anyone who may have camera footage to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 68 48 100”.
