Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information on a serious assault on a young man in Ennis over the Christmas period.
Emergency services were alerted by a passer-by to the incident, which happened between 1.30am and 2am on Christmas Eve morning at Knox’s lane, Abbey Street.
The victim of the assault, a 32-year-old man, was subsequently taken to University Hospital Limerick, where it’s understood he was treated for serious facial injuries.
Garda Albert Hardiman from the Crime Prevention Office at Ennis Garda Station is appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed this alleged assault, or anyone that may have been driving through town or parked up on Abbey Street or in the Abbey Street Car Park with dash-cam footage to contact them.
